Przylecialy do mnie wlasnie 23 numery tego atarowskiego pisma. Zaplacilem slono za transport ale warto bylo! To zupelnie inny rodzaj pisma niz niedawno omawiane "Atari Age" - tu jest samo "geste": prawie brak obrazkow, konkretne dlugie artykuly, praktycznie sam tekst: masa recenzji gier, programow, sprzetu. Newsy i spekulacje.
Przytaczam fragment z opisu z aukcji:
"What started out as two local Washington DC Atari newsletters (DC Currents and NovAtari Notes) grew to become one of the best full fledged Atari magazines in North America, and also the longest running - 1981-1995. Much like A.N.A.L.O.G. and Antic, they covered national and international Atari news, as well as product reviews, programming articles, etc. And they really stood out on the amount and depth of coverage they gave the 8-bit, and also how much great ST coverage they had right from the beginning when the 520 was first announced. In later years they also did a good amount on the Mega, STE, TT, Falcon,Lynx and Jaguar, but they always had 8-bit stuff in there as well, even well into the 90's. They did many hardware upgrade articles over the years (not just reviews, but "here's how to do it"), and had multi year long columns on DTP, and various programming languages, as well as several well known Atari scene programmers as columnists (David Small of Magic Sac and Specter GCR fame was one).
An interesting bit of trivia: Current Notes was part of WAACE (Washington Area Atari Computer Enthusiasts), which also put on the Northern Virginia Atarifests starting in '85 and running through '92 or '93."
Albo mozemy sprawic ile w 1984r. kosztowaly nasze ulubione zabawki:
A oto same numery pisma:
