Sorry for not speaking polish, but on this I must ask the experts :)

I am preparing a one hour atari 8bit demo show for the Outline party in the Netherlands. I prefer to show demos with stereo sound rather than "normal" demos. However, I am not sure which demos are supporting the stereo upgrade and which not.

Please could we here collect demos that support stereo?

I think most of the modern demos are in stereo.
Take Numen for example :)
Also, our 1K intro (plo,exe,fafik,erf) are in stereo.
Just go to pouet and see the newest atari demos.

btw, if I find time (it's hectic here atm) I'll try to visit the Outline, it's not far :)

Indeed, Numen is stereo. I just had a complete new expirience. I watched the demo now a thousand times or so, but everytime I enjoy it like the first day :)

Eru, what a great idea! Then we could have a session to discuss Lepix.

twh just run those demos on emulator and turn stereo mode on in it. if u hear sound in only one speaker then that demo don't support stereo, otherwise it do ;)

Another thing is whether a demo just utilizes second POKEY (playing the same on both) or the music is really played in stereo.

Hitler, Stalin, totalniak, SSman, NKWDzista, kaczor dyktator, za długo byłem w ChRL, wypowiadam się afektywnie.

gRzEnIu, yes and no. I have my own database. But I am using the TOSEC naming conventions. So I can simply do a file search for easy queries.

Yes, forget about Numen because it isn't stereo. :)

The information "8.14) What programs support stereo and upgraded sound?" in theAtari 8-bit FAQ is incomplete and erroneous (for example Drunk Chessboard doesn't even use the additional POKEY). Please send fixes to Michael Current.

Zero - autodecets stereo - if u has it - it play stereo with 2nd pokey 2 frames delay ("echo"), if no - it will play mono.
