BTW, zrobiłem drugą wersje płytki, dodałęm złącze do podpięcia wyświetlacza tracków od Mq i pare kosmetycznych drobiazgów. Powinny być w przyszłym tygodniu jak ktoś jeszcze potrzebuje.

In xf551, D0 and D1 signals are not used. The D0 signal (pin 10) is shorted to MO (pin 16) and the control takes place via MO.
If you use a 5.25 "or 3.5" drive for XF with a 34 pin connector, everything will be fine, provided the drive is set to D0. When using PC 3.5"drives in XF551, sometimes it is not possible to set the D0 number, then it is best to short pins 6, 10, 12 and 14 on the XF side (34 pin socket) and each drive will work regardless of which number is set .
Your 34/26 pin conversion scheme is correct. Each slim drive has only one D0 signal (pin 4) and should work properly when used in XF551. Remember to keep pins 7, 9, 11 and 13 free and not connected.

So you are saying on the 26 pin connector that pin 4 and 10 should be jumpered?

I am sorry.  Perhaps I did not make myself clear.   :)

I do not have the NEC drive pinout to review and so I do not know which pins go where.

I do have this 26pin to 34 pin conversion schematic, but I don't know if the NEC follows this 26 pin scheme.

I am trying to develop an adapter board to use the XF551 with the NEC FD3238T/H slim line floppy drives.  I have found one pinout that claims to be a standard conversion, but I am not able to get the power led to light on the drive. 

This is the conversion I am using.  Can someone tell me if this is correct for this floppy drive connector?

Did you leave the /DriveSel pin 4 unconnected or tie it to pin 10 on the pcb connector?

Hi,

    This is my first post on this forum and this thread caught my eye.  I like how you developed the internal XF551 clone pcb and utilized the slim line NEC floppy drive.  I noticed you are using the Micro Floppy 26pin connector instead of the normal IDE 34pin. 

     Can you tell me how you handled the DS0/DS1 PC compatible problem with the Atari XF551 wiring?  Did you modify the disk drive at all or did you simply connect the pcb floppy connector pin 4 and pin10 together?
