Is there someone who has the schematic of this ETHERNEC board?

Hi,

I own an Atari TT and like to connect it to an TFT screen. Are there convertors that convert ECL to VGA, I like to use the TT hi-res on my TFT...

Maybe MINT can be ported to the WARP4 upgraded 8-bit computer, with 16Mb of RAM it could be done...  8)

I know DRACO is dreaming of this....

Hello,

I would like to know if an Atari 8-bit with 65816 (14Mhz) could beat the Apple IIgs.

This apple did use an 65816 and even had Wolf3D ported to this machine  8)

Hi,

I found this simple hack to connect an ISA network card to an VIC20.

Just check it to see how simple it is  8)

Currently I'm working on a little surrprise for Jag gamers. But for the moment I won't say a word ;)

To port SDL you'd first need  a C compiler for the GPU and DSP. Do you have one ? ;)

Yes hereby I include a link for the C compile for the gpu/dsp and gpu/dsp assembler / disassembler.

Hello,

I wonder if there are jaguar programmers overhere.

It would be nice to port the ATARI SDL lib to the Jaguar to allow more games to be ported easy to this machine.

Anyone interested ??

Well, it's nice project. But I haven't seen it in Poland. But maybe somebody has it.
If Pasiu or Piguła or BeWu or somebody else begin to build this interface, I'll buy it. And I will stop using PC to surf the net ;) (and write Gadu Gadu for Atari 65XE ;) ).

Hmm seems to be some interest in this  8)  I like to have such interface aswell...

Surfing is not my first thing I want to have, FTP and E-mail would do for me...

Hi,

Here is a nice project http://geocities.com/vlastaar/a8ether/ it's an ethernet cartridge for the XL/XE. I wonder if this is the only ethernet interface or are there in Poland also ethernet interfaces for the 8-bit ?
Secondly I found an 6502 ROM + source code from a TCP/IP stack for the BBC microcomputer it's well documented.

of course not !

Why not, do you know any good GUI for the Atari 8-bit.

I have DIAMOND GOS both the cartridge and disk-version they look nice but GEOS looks even nicer.
BOSS-X is also good, but TURBO-BASIC and doesn't run alot of software.

I found this web-site http://members.elysium.pl/ytm/html/geos.html

Are there atari ports of this software ?

are there polish to english convertors ? I really would love to read these interesting topics.

(43 odpowiedzi, napisanych Sprzęt - 8bit)

Of course, it is possible but you must have some ROM beyond 1st memory bank ($0000-$FFFF) and switch in 65C816 in native mode. There was discussion about 512kB ROM and hardware registers.

Yes, this is something I would like to see, this new ROM can be a FLASH rom. An update could just loaded without re-programming an eprom  8)
A bigger OS Rom could add more features aswell...

The problem for me is, I can't read polish so I can only read/write english I don't hope it will be a big problem overhere. I must say this is the most interesting forum I've visited until now. Nice to see so many real active 8-bit users

When I read about this new OS, I read sometimes that there isn't enough room in the original OS. But it must be possible to have a bigger ROM somewhere between $10000 - $FFFFF and run 16-bit code from there...

I had some problems with Turbo816 so I designed Warp4 with 1MB linear memory (schems soon).

Now I'm working on a double CPU card.

Hmm this is GREAT info... what about using the full 16Mb linear memory ?

Will this Warp4 design run the 65816 faster then 1.79Mhz ? I was thinking that when running in $00000 - $0FFFF it should run at 1.79Mhz and at $1FFFF - $FFFFF at higher speed this way you will have a maximum compatible system, even harddisk interfaces and other hardware will work with such upgrade.

Secondly tell me something about the double CPU card... sounds interesting.

Hi,

I would like to know something about the 65816 users overhere...

1) Did you replace the 6502 for the 65816 or do you use it as co-processor ?
2) Are there users that have added linear memory up-to 16Mb to there 65816 processor ?
3) Are there users that have a 65816 that runs faster then 1.79Mhz ?
4) Are there users that already have written some special programs for the 65816 maybe even a new/patches OS ?

Any other info related to this subject would be nice too...

Hi,

I wondered if a port of Wings would be something for the 8-bit.

Looks very cool, is something nice to support the 65c816 processor.

Is there anyone who is making an ethernet cartridge for the XL/XE ?

There is already a nice small tcp/ip stack for the XL/XE:
http://www.dunkels.com/adam/uip/

Ethernet cartridge for the C64:
http://www.jschoenfeld.de/news/news88_e.htm

And a multi-tasking OS with web-browser/e-mail/web-server running with uip on the C64. Would be nice to have this with an ethernet cartridge.

Also software would be great.

2) Is there someone that makes SpartaDOS X cartridges? Or schematics.

3) Where can I get a TOMS, CA2001 and LDW2000 drive?
